“For the vision is yet for an appointed time…it will not disappoint. Though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come; It will not tarry.” (Habakkuk2:3)–This verse carried me through a very difficult period of waiting. When this verse was shared with me, it was just what I needed. I was in a season of waiting…

Waiting can really bring you down, Waiting can cause you faith to waver, Waiting can cause you to doubt what God has promised, Waiting can cause tear-stained pillows, Waiting makes your heart ache, Waiting makes you depend on God…

That vision, idea or thing that you are going to give birth to requires a waiting period. God promises an appointed time that only He knows. He promises that it won’t disappoint as long as you wait on Him. Take you hands off! Let God be God! This verse helped me because He said, “It will tarry. I will have to wait.”  So, He understands my issue, He feels my pain, my joy, my anticipation, just as He feels yours. But He says wait for it. God was telling me to wait! He may be telling you to wait! It’s hard to wait, but there is something about when God tells you to wait… It brings comfort, peace, security. That’s why we have to know the word for ourselves, and what He says about our situations.

So, if or when you find yourself waiting, just know that God is telling you to wait and it’s okay! He is also telling you, “It’s going to tarry (held up, take awhile), but wait and trust Me” because it will surely come. Suddenly!
