Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good, pleasing and perfect (Romans 12:2).

Be careful of what you are thinking about. Your mind will move in the direction of your most dominant thoughts. You have two choices; you can choose to think about the world’s system, which says to “look out for number one,” or according to God’s system, which says to “consider others as more important than yourself,” then you will find happiness and blessings by serving and putting others first.

God doesn’t want us to have an attitude that is self-centered or jealous or greedy, because all those thoughts end in destruction. He wants us to live a blessed and prosperous life. That’s why the Scripture tells us to renew our minds, or transform out thinking. We have to make sure our thoughts are the same as God’s thoughts. Just like a computer, whatever you allow into your mind is what will come out in your attitude and actions. The more you meditate on God’s Word, the more you will transform your thinking to be like God’s thinking. Choose today to focus on the Word of God and allow your mind to be renewed.
