But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).

On many occasions, Jesus spent extended time alone with His Heavenly Father. He spent time reading and meditating on His Word. He gave us a great example to follow. Any habit we find in Jesus is a habit we should follow.

When you make time to connect with God, who is the Giver of Life, your days won’t be as hectic. You won’t feel as stressed. You’ll get better sleep at night. That’s God’s promise. When you seek Him He renews your strength. Just like eating right and exercising help your physical body, spending time with the Lord everyday nourishes and strengthens your mind, will, and emotions.

So make it a habit, spend time alone with your Heavenly Father.
