Walking with integrity is not so common anymore. People would rather lie than speak the truth. They would rather show up to their job late; take extra long lunches; find a way to get out of doing what’s expected of them; and as soon as you aren’t looking they will find their way in deception once again.
The Word says that, “He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest.” Since He is giving you a treasure of common sense there is no need for you to entertain a less than honest mentality. God will protect you and your family, as you honor Him. He will direct your paths toward what is right for you! He will embrace you through difficult times and comfort you along the way. You’ll experience the joy in knowing that the Lord is faithful to those who walk in integrity.
We can’t pull a fast one on God. He sees all and cannot be deceived. He notices our shortcuts and also our efforts when we do well. Make sure you are living by this truth, seek others to hold you accountable and have them ask you the tough questions:
- Is my personal walk with God up to date?
- Am I keeping my priorities straight?
- Am I sensitive to what God is saying to the whole body of Christ?
Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we don’t lose heart.
