This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24).

I wake up every morning with this scripture on my heart. I then proceed to say it out loud as I enter my prayer time. Its important to be on the offensive when it comes to your happiness. If you don’t set the tone and atmosphere early in the day, the enemy will start reminding you of your problems or challenges that you are going to face. Then before long you are negative and discouraged.

The Bible doesn’t say, “I might be glad today if everything goes well, if I don’t get stuck in traffic, if my boss doesn’t yell at me, or if it doesn’t rain on my new hairdo.” No, the Psalmist said, “We will rejoice and be glad.” Now matter who tries to make you upset today, choose to be happy. Never forget that although you might not be able to choose your circumstances, you can always choose how you respond to them.

Make the decision to be happy today! God will give you super natural strength  to overcome every obstacle you face!
