“I will indeed do what you have asked, for I look favorably on you, and I know you by name.” (Exodus 33:17)

Moses said to the Lord, “If you don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place. How will anyone know that you look favorably on me–on me and on your people–if you don’t go with us?” This should be your conversation with the Lord about dreams and desires that He has pressed upon your heart.

I don’t want to move unless I know that God is leading the way. If I don’t sense His presence then it is time to go!

There maybe times when you are in a place, because you are trying to be polite. After all you were invited…but then you begin to feel uncomfortable, like a fish out of water. (You know what that looks like, when a fish has been beached!)  Well, thats what I experienced and I  had to leave the location. God went with me and was present. He even looked favorably on me and on His people. How you ask? He lead me out of that place because I have been set apart. He also allowed the people who understand my calling to witness my departure. The Word says, “For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.” (Exodus 33:16) So, He indeed did what I asked, because He knows me by name. He will do the same for you. Make sure He knows your name!
