I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to sow my repentance. (Job 42:6)
Our biggest struggle is condemnation. God forgives when we ask him to, but somehow we still go through life striving and pretending to be exceptional at parenting, loving one another, or anything else.
One thing you can’t do when you don’t measure up is make excuses and quickly brush it under the rug for no one to see. When you handle it that way, you are allowing your actions to refuse to recognize any need for God to strengthen you. Instead, ask God to forgive you from pride and arrogance from ignoring your dependence on Him.
