Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many. (Hebrews 12:15)

Bitterness is easy to see in other people. We can always point out and talk about their bitterness, but what about yours? I can tell you from experience that it is not easy to see bitterness in self. If you allow bitterness to take root it will consume you, because it grows deep. When the poison seeps in, it spills out to others around you. Search your heart earnestly. If you experience bitterness while scrolling through Facebook, Twitter or other social media outlets because of what you see, you may have to take action and hide some of those post until you are delivered from your bitterness. When you identify a thorny root, pray for yourself and the person who is the source of bitterness and allow God to do His perfect work. Allowing poison to consume you is not fun. Let it GO!
