Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.” 29“Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.
One thing I have learned is that you have to believe what God has placed in your heart to achieve it. Peter stepped out of the boat because he believed that Jesus would help him through the process. I believe Peter also understood it was his time!
Make sure it’s your time before you step out of the boat. If you are trying to do it all yourself, you will fail. And sometimes that failure will cause you not to get back in the game. As Peter began to walk, he began to sink, but he didn’t lose faith. It’s important to make sure your relationship with Jesus is just as tight as Peters. Because there will come a time when Jesus will say, “Come!” Step out! It’s your season! So I’ll ask the question, will you step out of the boat?
