God sent a man, John the Baptist, to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony. John 1:6-7
When you are sent by God, you have an obligation to be obedient. Your lifestyle must represent the one who sent you. You are a testimony to those around you. How you react to situations on you job must line up with the Word of God. If God has called you to a mission, be sure that you are ready to handle the task. Its one thing to talk about the word of God, but quite another to live what it says each and everyday of your life. It’s a fine line that you have to walk on. The enemy creeps in with subtle distractions like the music you listen to. On Sunday you are all about the Christian / Gospel music, then on Monday you flip the station. At this point you are no longer walking that thin line.
In the church where people come to get away from the world and meet Jesus you can’t have secular music playing behind an upcoming event in the church to get your point across. The enemy is very crafty! There are many in the congregation that are struggling walking that thin line, but now they are getting those feelings again and it may cause them to step off the line back into the world in which they are trying to flee from.
Be a testimony, live your life as an obedient vessel sent by God
